Field Services and Smart Hands

We provide onsite technical support for remote IT teams.

THE STARTING POINT

A remote team. Dependable support on site.

Remote diagnosis often identifies the next step, but it cannot replace being beside the equipment. Someone needs to check indicators and connections, connect a console, replace a component or carry out an agreed cable change. Our technician performs those tasks on site, working with remote support and confirming the result of each action.

Field Services can cover a single intervention, a series of planned visits or an ongoing support model for agreed locations, from Data Centres to offices and branches. Preparing a visit means more than assigning a technician: it includes confirming access, instructions, parts, tools and an authorised decision-maker.

The environment owner retains control of the change. Restarts, shutdowns, cable changes and configuration changes require appropriate authorisation. If conditions on site differ from the plan, we escalate to the agreed contact instead of extending the scope independently. Each visit leaves a record of the initial state, completed work and next steps.

SCOPE OF WORK

What does the engagement cover?

Field Services and Smart Hands: onsite diagnostics, hardware replacement, planned work and coordinated support across multiple locations.

  • 01L1/L2 support: basic diagnostics and hands-on technical tasks
  • 02checks of equipment indicators, physical connections and visible alarms
  • 03installation, removal and replacement of equipment and permitted replaceable components
  • 04console connection and Smart Hands following approved remote-team instructions
  • 05agreed cable changes, labelling, inventory and documentation updates
  • 06equipment preparation before installation and assistance with planned changes and testing

IN PRACTICE

The details that define the scope.

Interventions and Smart Hands

The technician checks the physical state and performs diagnostic steps agreed with remote support. Equipment and component replacements follow the procedure and manufacturer requirements. We define the scope of independent tasks in advance; it does not imply unrestricted changes to production configuration.

Planned work and equipment staging

We can prepare equipment before delivery to a site by checking completeness, applying labels and fitting agreed modules. Configuration, updates and tests follow approved instructions. Planned visits can cover rack expansion, replacements, cable changes and assistance with work performed by other teams.

Consistent support across locations

We agree request channels, prioritisation, contacts and escalation paths. Resources are matched to the location and task, with an estimated arrival time confirmed. An ongoing service model can include readiness, planned work and periodic reporting within the agreed scope.

Parts and equipment ready for the visit

Before an intervention, we establish how the technician will receive the correct equipment or part. An extended engagement can include receipt, tracking, storage and issue of service stock. Storage locations, transport and responsibility for entrusted equipment require separate agreement.

HOW WE DELIVER

From the first conversation to a verified result.

  1. 01

    Review the request

We confirm the location, priority, symptoms, expected result and contact responsible for the task.

  2. 02

    Prepare the visit

We agree access, instructions, parts, tools and authorisations, assign a suitable technician and confirm the estimated arrival time.

  3. 03

    Carry out the onsite work

We perform approved tasks, collaborate with remote support and flag situations requiring an additional decision.

  4. 04

    Confirm the result

We provide a report and the agreed evidence. The request is closed once the result is confirmed, or further actions are identified.

THE RESULT

What does your team receive?

  • 01one agreed workflow from service request to confirmation of the result
  • 02completion of authorised tasks and a record of deviations from the plan
  • 03a report covering the initial state, completed work and replaced parts
  • 04a confirmed outcome or clear follow-up actions for the team managing the request

BEFORE WE START

Useful questions to ask early.

What should we provide with a request?

Share the location, task, timing, access rules and remote-team contact. We agree the procedure, tools and required evidence before work starts.

Can support be recurring?

The scope can cover one intervention or recurring work. Availability, locations and the commercial model are agreed in the proposal.

How is completion confirmed?

We agree completion criteria and the report contents before the intervention. Evidence can include a completed checklist, verification results and authorised photographs.

Does the arrival time mean the fault will be fixed by then?

No. Response time, technician arrival and service restoration are different measures. Service hours, coverage and service levels (SLAs) are agreed for specific locations. Fault resolution also depends on diagnosis, parts, permissions and decisions by the team responsible for the environment.

Are parts and service stock included?

We agree who supplies the parts, how they will be handed over and who is responsible for the equipment before the visit. Service stock handling and equipment staging can be arranged, but are not automatically included in every engagement. Field Services does not replace the manufacturer warranty service.
